The opening screening of JesusFreaks(JF) happened last night to kick off YWAM’s Jubilee Celebration…JF was the first movie to be screened at the newly build theatre at the University of the Nations…It truly was an honor to be the first film ever shown in this venue. The movie theatre seated about 90 people and it was standing room only for the JF showing…Thank you Lord. After the screening we had a time of Q and A with the audience, one of the attendees was a personal friend (Peter) of Dan Griebenow, (one of the victims of Dec.9,2007) and he stood up in tears at the end and thanked us for telling this story of Redemption…the tragic events of Dec.9, 2007 had truly hit home with this young man and it was very rewarding to see that JesusFreaks was able to give him a peace that God was able to turn a horrible situation into good and the making of this movie had even brought a redemptive story out of a horrible tragedy. I felt this was a divine appointment and I was grateful to hear his heart.
It was great to see David Cunningham again…He has truly been a friend and a mentor these last two years as I have walked through the journey of distribution…David is in the movie business and he knows how difficult finding a distribution deal can be…He has been an encourager throughout and it has truly been an honor locking shields with him…His guidance and interest in helping bring “JesusFreaks” to the world has been a tremendous blessing.
HERE WE ARE AT THE 50th releasing “JesusFreaks” and distribution has begun and it all got kicked off with the screening of “JesusFreaks” last night in celebration of 50 years of YWAM’ers going throughout the world spreading the message and love of Jesus Christ! GOD IS FAITHFUL!!!
We are honored and humbled to be a part of the YWAM movement.

A Generation is Waiting…

We are packing today and getting ready for the YWAM-50 year Jubilee celebration in Kona, HI which runs from Nov.29 to Dec.4. Katherine and I are thrilled that JF will be screened in Kona and 5 of the short episodes will be utilized as transitional pieces between speakers throughout the week. We are excited and apprehensive all at the same time as we embark on this next phase of the JF journey- the distribution phase. I can’t think of a more fitting way to begin bringing this story to the world…What an honor and a privilege to be able to launch JF in Kona in conjunction with celebrating 50 years of Youth With a Mission (YWAM) of raising up young leaders as they embark on their own journey of knowing God and making Him known.
The pressure is real as always but the feeling is right for us to embark on this next phase…WE have done all we can do…it is up to you guys to get the “buzz” going about JF. Please share with your friends and family about JF. It is by word of mouth that we are going to bring this story to the world. The gatekeepers (Hollywood) have kept us out for far to long; Join me in breaking through to the other side. I pray that the world will see God’s love for His children through JF…that the success of this Feature film will prove that God is hip, fun, intimate,exciting, you can come to Him as you are, that He longs for relationship with us…this is an opportunity to prove that people seeking God and wanting to go deeper with Him is a compelling, counter-culture story like none they have seen before.
